I decided that I will go through with the camera flashes on the girl running. Online I found a tutorial on how to create a camera flash effect : http://premierepro.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ:How_do_I_simulate_a_camera_flash%3F
I created and saved my effect on Adobe Premiere Pro:
After I made the flash, I looked up sound effects and remembered to include a camera sound that would be appropiate for the era the film takes place (polaroid).
